Apis Cerana Honey

Nature’s nectar for robust health

What?

Apis cerana is an excellent pollinator ensuring the pollination of various mountain crops, especially the fruits, vegetables and medicinal crops. It is found in the wild but it can also be domesticated for apiculture.

Apis cerana is kept by beekeepers in various mountainous areas that could be tough to reach. There are initiatives to teach beekeeping as a long-term employment opportunity among the tribal communities of Nagaland. GALHO honey is sourced from the apiaries of tribal beekeepers. The beekeepers rear the bees in scientific bee boxes in their farms and backyards amidst variety of crops in various beekeeping villages across the State.
